Remembering

The kids wanted me to put together a slide show for our dog Sabre who died a couple of weeks ago. We had a small memorial service with friends who have known him for years (and even had him over to stay when we were gone). We planted a cherry tree, and buried his collar and sprinkled his ashes there, and I know every year when it flowers it will remind us of his sweet soul. If you want to see what he meant to us, you can check out his video:

Very nice tribute to your dog. It's hard to lose a pet; we had to put my cat down 5 years ago and my husband made a nice tape of music to play during our cat's final moments. We had him cremated and buried his ashes in the backyard; I planted catnip on his grave.

I hope it gives you comfort that you gave your dog the best home he could have. He was obviously loved and happy.

I found your blog through a comment you left at 21st Century Mom.
